Fringe Ephemera is returning to The Village and is proud to be showcasing artworks created by our local community.

The exhibition will be on display from Friday 26 July to Sunday 4 August 2019 and there will be opportunities during the 10 days to immerse yourself in art through interactive artworks and workshops. 

Everyone is invited to join us at The Village for a very special launch event that will include interactive artworks, workshops, live performances and food trucks.

Circles with Lisa Vickery, 10 am - 4 pm

Weave a circle to add to the 'Circles' artwork.

Tropical Aviaries with Leigh Robertson, 10 am - 4 pm

Create a part of the 'Tropical Aviaries' artwork by decorating a birdcage using wire, ribbon, yarn and fabric.

Mosaics with Fiona Banner, 10 am - 4 pm

Join in the fun of a community mosaic mural with Fiona Banner, using all recycled plastic lids.

Harmony Hands with Oonoonba State School, 10 am - 4 pm

Printed hands will be available for the community to decorate or write in and join in the 'Harmony Hands' artwork.

Golden Quilt with Holy Spirit Catholic School, 10 am - 4 pm

Using cut up plastic milk bottles, write what 'as good as gold' means to you and join it to the quilt.

Fence weaving with Annandale Christian College, 10 am - 4 pm

The recent flood event saw debris stuck in fences all over Townsville. Help to create a replica of this and extend on the artwork created by Annandale Christian College.

Necklace and brooch making with Annandale Christian College, 10 am - 4 pm

Join the students from Annandale Christian College and use the ceramic beads used in their 'Together' artwork to create a necklace or brooch.

Butterfly making with William Ross State School, 12 pm - 2 pm

Work with students from William Ross State High School to make a butterfly that will form part of their installation titled 'Chrysalis'.

Ribbon weaving with Townsville Multicultural Support Group, 10 am - 4 pm

Learn the art of weaving with the Townsville Multicultural Support Group. Using your ribbons, you will learn how to weave shapes and animals.
