Jessica and Less
Jessica and Lee Wilson have purchased and built within stage 10 of The Village and the couple said they did lots of research over a period of several months before buying at The Village.
"We talked to lots of builders and visited all the display villages around town. In the end, when even builders in other developments were really positive about The Village as a place to invest, we went over and got talking."
Jessica wasn't immediately convinced, "I'm originally from Townsville so I had the mindset that to get a home we had to go to the Northern Beaches and get a big block. But going to The Village swayed me in the other direction. Other developments just seem so far out of town and had few amenities around them."
Lee says, "We had a look at the master plan and there was this one corner block facing a park so we went around and looked at it. The first thing we saw was this big beautiful rain tree and we thought 'that's just magic'. We came back just about every weekend for months and some days we just stood there and enjoyed the cool breeze and the quietness of the area."
"The place is designed around the block and the location to focus on the iconic rain tree in the park across the road, nearby green space and the views to Castle Hill. We have a big balcony off the master bedroom which frames the tree beautifully."
They believe The Village is the most convenient location in Townsville. "It's close to JCU, close to hospital, close to everything. With Fairfield Central just down the road there's everything you need – doctor, optometrist, grocers, great places to eat, pet shop, home-maker stores. Then you turn around and you are just a few minutes from the movies and Max Brenner in the city."
"There's already a strong sense of community in The Village. People are always out in the parks and unlike must places, people actually want to stop and chat as they pass, so we are keen to stay here for the long-term."
